Becoming a “Bronze” Eco Church

In the early part of this year we registered as an Eco Church with the A Rocha project. The Eco Church initiative is designed to inform and support churches to make more creation friendly choices.

The process involves filling in a survey each year and being given a rating of either Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Each set of questions is designed to both assess and promote the churches care for creation.

We have begun this process with a Bronze rating, which over this next year we hope to become a Silver rated church.

The Community Garden Project with the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation will play a significant role in our mission, and our care for God’s creation. We hope to have further news about the Community Garden soon, but for the time being we have a couple of apple trees and three raised beds (with herbs, potatoes, and onions) running on Ebbsfleet Green. We plan to extend this significantly and the life of church and community around it.
